Dear diary

Dear Diary.
Today is my 4,020th day in prison. My cell stinks and my back is sore from sleeping on a a hay mattress. I still believe that it is wrong to have different rules for black people and white people. The food is terrible here, I would LOVE it if they gave me a nice, crunchy apple but instead they just give me plain rice.

  1. Hi Alicia,

Thanks for sharing your diary entry for Nelson Mandela! I think you have done a great job of imagining what it would be like to be in prison for such a long time. Plain rice would be so boring! And I bet you would get very sore from only having a hay mattress.

Can you imagine how exhausting it would have been? What would you do to pass the time? If it were me, I would read books and write stories to pass the time.

Well done on your blog post! I enjoyed reading it :)

    Beren
