Logging

                                                                       Logging

I don't think logging should be allowed in New Zealand because it causes animals to move out that live in the trees.  Also when the big trees fall and the logging machines run over the land it crushes smaller plants that might be special to New Zealand.

  1. Hello Alicia,
You have made some good points about why logging should not happen. I wonder if you could be more specific about the kind of trees that you are commenting on in yur blog. I suggest you research further and find out the difference between logging native trees and non native trees.

  2. Hi Alicia!

You have brought up some great points about why we should stop logging in New Zealand.
You are right, it can mean that animals might loose out of huge areas they could use as a home and that is pretty sad. Do you know of any animals that are effected by logging?

I like that you have also thought about what could happen to some of our native plants that are in logging areas - Do you think there might be some rules we need to create that will make sure we are protecting our native plants and wildlife? Maybe there are already rules that we have about this?

If you find out any further information make sure to add it to your post - I would love to read it so I can learn some more too!

Keep up the great work Alicia!
    Ellee :)
