DOC ranger

                                                            DOC ranger


The three good things about being a DOC ranger is
  • I would get to be with animals
  • I get to help animals
  • Surrounded by bush, mountains and water.
The three bad things about being a DOC ranger is
  • I wouldn't get to spend time with my pony
  • I would be eaten alive by bugs
  • I would have to help with building tracks
I would like to be a DOC ranger.

    My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team. I’ll be helping Allie and the team out in Toki Pounamu over the Christmas holidays. It's great to see you making such an awesome start to the programme - ka pai.

    It sounds as though you are really passionate about helping animals; I think that you would make a great DOC ranger! What do you think would be the most challenging part of the job?

    Hello Alicia,
    What a wonderful response you have given to the idea of being a DOC Ranger. I am absolutely certain that you will be a wonderful DOC Ranger. I know that you will have lots of choices about what you will have as a career / job in the future because you have a range of interests and a wonderful learning attitude. Going back to your comments about the down side of being a DOC Ranger and thinking about the bugs which ones annoy you the most?
