My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.
I really enjoyed this haiku activity as I love to read poetry and I think haikus are a very fun form of poetry with their syllable rules and simplicity.
Your haiku is well written, you followed the 5, 7, 5 syllable rule well but I think your last line may be 6 syllables. I think your theme is very relevant to summer as that is a great time for horse riding and I assume it is something you enjoy doing in your free time. Do you ride in competitions or just for fun? And is that a photo of you on your horse?
What was your inspiration for this haiku? And may I encourage you to step up your work by writing two more haikus and even include a clip of you reading them aloud.
Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
Dear Alicia, I really enjoyed reading your haiku. I hope to read some more soon. I wonder how your summer horse riding is going. It might be a bit slippery at the moment for your horse on the wet grass and I suppose that makes riding difficult. Have fun Alicia.
