My home town

                                                   My home town  

My home town is Greymouth. Greymouth is special to me because it has a lot of great walks and also because they are a few beaches and paddocks to ride ponies in. Greymouth  is surrounded by hills, mountains, trees and rivers, so there is always some place I have not being yet. In the middle of Greymouth there is a movie theatre and a skate park. My family sometimes go for a bike down the cycle trail.

    I see that you are keeping up with your learning which is fantastic. Did you know that the Year 8 trip went on the cycle trail recently from Paroa to Kumara? Enjoy your summer exploring.

    Hi Alicia

    Well done for telling us all about Greymouth. We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. There are so many things to see and do.
    We have lots of beautiful walks around town that you can go on. Have you walked the Pt Elizabeth walk? On a sunny day it has the most amazing views. Did you know you could see all the way to Mt Cook on a sunny day.
    Lots of visitors to Greymouth also like to go to Shantytown. This is always lots of fun to go for a ride on the steam train.
    It is great that you and your family go for bike rides on the cycle trail. Lots of people are using this for walking and cycling.
